Five stocks witnessing short covering
Short covering refers to buying back borrowed securities in order to close out an open short position at a profit or loss.
Sensex as well as Nifty opened Wednesday's trading session on a flat note. At 12.25 pm, Sensex was seen trading at 60,078.60 levels, up by 0.37 per cent while Nifty climbed 0.38 per cent to be at 17,872.60 levels.
Bajaj Finserv, Bajaj Finance, and Kotak Mahindra Bank emerged as the top three gainers today, which soared 5.21 per cent, 4.05 per cent & 2.60 per cent, respectively. On the other hand, Tech Mahindra, Infosys, and Wipro turned out to be the top three losers, which plunged 2.66 per cent, 2.31 per cent & 1.64 per cent, respectively.
