Five stocks witnessing long unwinding
Long unwinding refers to selling of positions or stocks owned for a longer period either to book profit or to exit it in anticipation of impending bearishness.
On the first trading session of the week, the domestic benchmark indices opened on a flat note amid mixed global cues. At 10.50 am, both Sensex, as well as Nifty, were trading in the red zone at 56,882.80 and 17,018.00 levels, tumbling 0.84 per cent & 0.79 per cent, respectively.
Bharti Airtel, Maruti, and ITC emerged as the top gainers of the day, which climbed 1.24 per cent, 0.50 per cent & 0.47 per cent, respectively.
