Five stocks witnessing long unwinding
Long unwinding refers to selling of positions or stocks owned for a longer period either to book profit or to exit it in anticipation of impending bearishness.
The domestic benchmark indices opened the first trading session of the week on a negative note. However, at 11.56 am, both Sensex, as well as Nifty, were spotted in the green zone i.e. up by 0.11 per cent & 0.08 per cent, trading at 57,186.73 levels and 17,017.30 levels, respectively.
Tech Mahindra, Power Grid, and Dr Reddy's Laboratories emerged as the top three gainers, which climbed 2.71 per cent, 1.43 per cent & 0.95 per cent, respectively.
