Five stocks witnessing long unwinding
Long unwinding refers to selling of positions or stocks owned for a longer period either to book profit or to exit it in anticipation of impending bearishness.
Despite weak global cues, the domestic benchmark indices started Thursday's session with gains. At 11.24 am, both Sensex and Nifty were trading at 58,169.45 & 17,314.35 levels, up by 0.84 per cent and 0.86 per cent, respectively.
HDFC, Power Grid Corporation, and Sun Pharmaceutical Industries emerged as the top three gainers of today's session, which surged 3.29 per cent, 3.24 per cent & 2.62 per cent, respectively.
