In the small-cap index, the capital goods sector has the top market capitalisation of 11.60 per cent. After that, chemicals & petrochemicals and finance sector reported 11.07 per cent & 9.77 per cent, respectively.
The total number of shares that advanced in July is 740 while only 168 stocks have declined.
