Dilip Buildcon bags EPC project worth Rs. 360.58 crore
EPC major Dilip Buildcon bagged an EPC project worth Rs. 360.58 crore from IRCON International for 40.37 km road construction in the state of Karnataka. The announcement about the project came a day after the company secured a NHAI road contruction project worth Rs. 730 crore in Madhya Pradesh.
Roads, highways and bridges contruction segment formed about 81 per cent of the company’s total order for the second quarter of the fiscal year 2018. The company’s order book stood at Rs. 14,204 crore for the corresponding period.
The road construction segment of the company is likely to witness a significant demand hike as the government is buckling up to launch several road construction projects under the Bharatmala Project in FY19.
In the second quarter of FY18, the company posted a significant rise in its net profit. The net profit of the company for Q3 FY18 stood at Rs. 115.60 crore as against Rs. 6.97 crore in the same quarter of the previous fiscal year. The company had posted an increase of 63.47 per cent to Rs. 360.94 crore in the fiscal year 2017 on a yearly basis.
