Day’s Movers: These stocks were among the top gainers on March 16

Here are the top gaining stocks in BSE Group ‘A’.

On Thursday, the frontline equity indices finished higher than its previous closing. The 30-share index, Sensex increased by 0.14 per cent or 78.94 points and closed at 57,634.84 while the 50-share index, Nifty stood flat closing at 16,985.60 by slightly gaining 0.079 per cent in today’s session. Some of the shares that surged in today's trade out of BSE Group 'A' were Jain Irrigation Systems Ltd, Medplus Health Services Ltd and Everest Kanto Cylinder Ltd.

Shares of Jain Irrigation Systems Ltd were up by 10.90 per cent in today’s session and closed at Rs 31.75 over its previous close of Rs 28.63. Today, the intraday high and low of Jain Irrigation Systems Ltd were Rs 32.49 and Rs 28.47, respectively.      

Another constituent of BSE ‘A’ Group that rallied was Medplus Health Services Ltd, gaining 10.28 per cent in today’s session closing at Rs 715.30. Today, the intraday high and low of Medplus Health Services Ltd were Rs 730.55 and Rs 634.00, respectively.      

Everest Kanto Cylinder Ltd also rallied 9.92 per cent and closed at Rs 84.62 over its previous close of Rs 76.98. Today, the intraday high and low of Everest Kanto Cylinder Ltd were Rs 85.43 and Rs 74.70, respectively.
