Days Movers: These stocks were among the top gainers on January 11

Here are the top gaining stocks in BSE Group ‘A’.

On Wednesday, the frontline equity indices stood flat over its previous closing. The 30 share index Sensex declined 0.02 per cent or 9.98 points and closed at 60,105.50 while the 50 share index, Nifty closed at 17,895.70 declining by 0.10 per cent. Some of the shares that gained a lot in today's trade out of BSE Group 'A' were Greaves Cotton Ltd, Marksans Pharma Ltd and Edelweiss Financial Services Ltd.      

Shares of Greaves Cotton Ltd zoomed 7.57 per cent in today’s session and closed at Rs 142.75 over its previous close of 132.70. Today, the intraday high and low of Greaves Cotton Ltd were Rs 144 and Rs 133.80, respectively.   

Another constituent of BSE ‘A’ Group that rallied was Marksans Pharma Ltd, gaining 6.67 per cent in today’s session to close at Rs 66.40. Today, the shares of Marksans Pharma Ltd touched its 52-week high with an intraday high and low of Rs 67.40 and Rs 61.50, respectively.        

Edelweiss Financial Services Ltd also rallied 5.91 per cent at Rs 68.15 over its previous close of Rs 64.35. The intraday high and low of Edelweiss Financial Services Ltd were Rs 69.35 and Rs 64.20, respectively.
