Day’s Movers: These stocks were among the top gainers on February 20

Here are the top gaining stocks in BSE Group ‘A’.

On Monday, the frontline equity indices declined over its previous closing. The 30-share index, Sensex declined by 0.51 per cent or 311.03 points and closed at 60,691.54 while the 50-share index, Nifty closed at 17,844.60 declining by 0.56 per cent. Some of the shares that surged in today's trade out of BSE Group 'A' were Sumitomo Chemical India Ltd, Star Health and Allied Insurance Company Ltd and EKI Energy Services Ltd.           

Shares of Sumitomo Chemical India Ltd zoomed 11.29 per cent in today’s session and closed at Rs 475.20 over its previous close of Rs 427.00. Today, the intraday high and low of Sumitomo Chemical India Ltd were Rs 482.00 and Rs 428.55, respectively.      

Another constituent of BSE ‘A’ Group that rallied was Star Health and Allied Insurance Company Ltd, gaining 10.95 per cent in today’s session closing at Rs 565.35. Today, the intraday high and low of Star Health and Allied Insurance Company Ltd were Rs 577.00 and Rs 511.20, respectively.       

EKI Energy Services Ltd also rallied 10 per cent and closed at its upper circuit at Rs 688.20 over its previous close of Rs 625.65. Today, the intraday high and low of EKI Energy Services Ltd were Rs 688.20 and Rs 651.00, respectively.
