Day's Movers : These media stocks rally in a relatively weak market

As bears continue to take charge of the markets, only few sectors like Media were able to escape the negative sentiments.
At the closing bell on July 26, the Sensex closed at 55,268.49 down by 0.9 per cent or 498 points, while the Nifty index closed at 16,483.85 down by 0.9 per cent or 147 points. On the contrary, Nifty Media closed stronger by 0.9 per cent at 1979.85.
Sun TV, PVR and Inox Leisure witnessed positive action in today’s session.
Sun TV Network Ltd witnessed a gain of 4.82 per cent in today’s session and closed at Rs 464. The stock is witnessing fresh buying at lower levels after hitting a 52-week low on July 23 at Rs 402.55. The shares of Sun TV hit intra-day highs and lows of Rs 481.75 and Rs 440.10, respectively. Sun TV, one of India's largest media conglomerates was the biggest gainer among the media stocks in today’s session.
PVR Ltd gained 2.04 per cent in today’s session and closed at Rs 1951.10. The shares of PVR hit intra-day highs and lows of Rs 1967.50 and Rs 1914.90, respectively. The recent rally in the stock is led by its positive Q1 results with the highest ever Revenue, EBITDA and PAT. During Q1Y23, net sales jumped 1552 per cent on a YoY basis at Rs 981.40 crore on account of a lower base and PAT stood at Rs 53.16 crore, showing a growth of 124 per cent compared to the same period last year.
Inox Leisure Ltd gained 1.42 per cent in today’s session and closed at Rs 550.90. The shares of Inox hit intra-day highs and lows of Rs 559 and Rs 548.80, respectively.
