Cosmo Films launches CPP metalized film

Cosmo Films launches cast polypropylene (CPP) metalized film with high metal bond strength on Thursday. This film has been specially designed to offer superior inter-layer bond strength for making multi-layer laminate structures, which in turn enhances barrier properties, said the company in a filing to the bourses.

CPP is gaining traction due to its versatility like excellent seal strength, decent thermal stability and good puncture resistance. The company provides various types of CPP films like transparent, white opaque and metalized for multiple applications. The company is having a total installed CPP capacity of 10,000 TPA.

In the recent quarter Q1FY19, the net revenue grew by 24 per cent on yoy basis led by pass-through of the increase in raw material prices, increase in sales volume and better sales mix.

Cosmo Films Limited is a global leader in speciality films for packaging, lamination and labelling applications. The company’s revenue mix comprises of Packaging- 48 per cent, Lamination- 25 per cent, Industrial- 23 per cent and Label- 11 per cent.

On Thursday, the stock opened at Rs. 238.90 per share and closed at Rs. 235.35 on the BSE.
