Buyers' top three picks for today: These Group A small-cap stocks saw heavy demand from buyers in the pre-opening session
These three stocks were the top gainers on BSE in the pre-opening session today.
At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in red with a loss of 117.52 points or 0.2 per cent. By 9.15 am, the index further strengthened to 57,301.23, signifying gains of 153.91 points or 0.27 per cent.
On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals, power, and auto were trading flat.
Meanwhile, ICRA Ltd, Cosmo First, and Marksans Pharma, all from the Small-Cap space, emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today. Barring Marksans Pharma, the other two companies have not made any significant announcements of late. Hence, the rally in their share prices could be driven purely by market forces.
ICRA Ltd, a credit rating company, surged 3.6 per cent to trade at Rs 4,245 apiece.
Cosmo First Ltd, operating in the packaging industry, rallied 2.9 per cent to trade at Rs 881.95 apiece.
Marksans Pharma Ltd, another S&P BSE Smallcap company, climbed 2.89 per cent to trade at Rs 48 apiece. On Tuesday, the company announced that it has entered into a business transfer agreement with Tevapharm India Private Limited, to acquire its business relating to the manufacture & supply of bulk pharmaceutical formulations in Goa.
