BSE StAR MF achieves positive net equity inflow in August too
BSE StAR MF has once again achieved a positive net equity inflow of Rs 667 crore for the month of August whereas the industry experienced a net outflow of Rs 4,000 crore.
In the month of July, BSE StAR MF contributed Rs 653 crore as net equity inflow while the industry had reported a net outflow of Rs 2,480 crore.
The last positive net inflow reported by the industry was in the month of June of Rs 241 crore when BSE StAR MF outperformed by contributing a net equity inflow of Rs 1,882 crore then.
Most equity mutual fund categories had witnessed net outflows since July as investors continued to sell their investments, which is possibly due to their precarious financial position or the current uncertain economic scenario amid the raging COVID-19 pandemic.
Recently, BSE StAR MF had set a new high as it recorded the highest number of MF transactions for the month of August, which were around 73.34 lakh transactions. It recorded around 68.72 lakh transactions in the month of July.
Overall, the platform processed 2.54 crore transactions during the period from April to July 2020.
