BSE Smallcap index makes new high; stocks gain up to 93 per cent in one month
While Sensex & Nifty were witnessing ups & downs throughout the month of July, BSE Smallcap index managed to zoom by 6.01 per cent in July 2021. The pickup in economic activities and ramp-up of vaccination have infused positive sentiments and helped the small-cap stocks to be in the limelight.
Today, BSE Smallcap index has achieved a fresh high at 27,106.46 levels. The stocks included in the index managed to deliver returns up to 93 per cent in the month of July 2021. At the lead was Brightcom Group, which proliferated by 93.71 per cent, followed by Inox Winds, which zoomed by 67.99 per cent and Indo Count Industries that gained 58.68 per cent.
Recently, Brightcom Group, the digital marketing solutions firm, has announced signing a letter of intent to acquire a large Indian digital services firm with 1,100 employees that has premium clients like Netflix, Disney, Bitly, Hulu, and New York Times, among others. The company has also allotted over 5.89 crore equity shares under the preferential issue.
