BSE Small-cap Index top gainer: Shares of this textile company hit upper circuit on April 05

On Wednesday, the domestic benchmark indices ended the day on a positive note. At 03:30 pm, BSE Sensex Index was up 0.99 per cent at a level of 59,689.31. On BSE about 2,581 shares have advanced, 955 declined and 117 were unchanged.   

On the broader markets, BSE Small-Cap Index was the top performer, up by 0.95 per cent at a level of 27,531.62.   

Shares of Nandan Denims Ltd, being one of the Top Gainers of the BSE Small-cap Index, zoomed 20 per cent upper circuit to Rs 20.46 per share from its previous closing of Rs 17.05. The stock has a 52-week high of Rs 69.90 and a 52-week low of Rs 15.01.    

Nandan Denim Limited is principally engaged in the manufacturing and sale of fabrics including denim, yarn and shirting, etc. Today, shares of the company saw a spurt in volume by more than 1.20 times on BSE.   

Nandan Denims has a market cap of Rs 294.93 crore. The company reported positive numbers in its Quarterly Results and annual results. The maximum share is owned by the promoter of the company (64.74 per cent) and the rest is by FIIs, DIIs and general public.
