BSE 500: These stocks below Rs 100 emerged as the top gainers on September 27

Know which stocks rallied on the bourses.

At the closing bell on September 27, the Sensex closed at 57107.52, weaker by 0.1 per cent or 38 points.   

   HCC, Kalyan Jewellers and Renuka Sugars witnessed positive action in today’s session.    

   Hindustan Construction Company Ltd (HCC) was locked in the upper circuit of 20 per cent in today’s session and closed at Rs 14.66. The company announced yesterday that it has successfully deleveraged its balance sheet through the Debt Resolution Plan whereby it has transferred Rs 2,854 crore of lenders' liability along with beneficial economic interest in arbitration awards & claims of Rs 6,508 crore as consideration to a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV). This SPV will have an external investor controlling at least 51 per cent and HCC holding balance shares.  

   Shree Renuka Sugars gained 9.94 per cent in today’s session and closed at Rs 59.75. Shares of sugar companies have been buzzing on the back of the ethanol capacity expansion. Intra-day high and low for the sugar stock were logged at Rs 59.95 and Rs 54.60. 

Kalyan Jewellers India Ltd witnessed a gain of 8.76 per cent in today’s session and closed at Rs 96.85. The shares of the company hit intra-day highs and lows of Rs 97.50 and Rs 86.75, respectively. The stock logged a 52-week high on September 15 at Rs 101.30 after which it witnessed profit booking.
