BSE 500 gainers & losers in January 2021
After an eventful 2020, Indian stock markets witnessed strong rallies towards the end of 2020, which seemed to continue at the beginning of January 2021 as well. On the contrary, January 2021 proved to be a volatile month for the Indian stock markets.
While Sensex gained by around 4 per cent during the first half of the month, the second half saw a sharp decline of about 7 per cent. Besides, S&P BSE 500 declined by around 2 per cent during January 2021.
Tata Group companies continued to be investors’ favourites, reporting solid gains during January 2021. With the Auto sector remained in buzz, the majority of the auto companies were the top gainers in BSE 500 during this month. BSE Auto jumped by around 6.62 per cent in January 2021.
