As market extends losses, know which stocks outperformed!
MTNL, Ujjivan Financial Services and Neuland Laboratories were the top gainers in Group A today!
Benchmark indices extended losses with BSE Sensex closing at 54333.81 down 769 points or 1.4 per cent. Nifty50 closed at 16245.35 down 253 points or 1.5 per cent.
Weakness persisted in the broader markets which largely ended in red territory under selling pressure. BSE Midcap closed at 22618.58 and BSE Small cap at 26286.66, both giving in to the selloff. BSE500 lost 1.7 per cent or 378 points to close at 22087.93 for the week.
MTNL, Ujjivan Financial Services and Neuland Laboratories witnessed positive action in today’s session.
MTNL or Mahanagar Telephone Nigam ltd zoomed 9.85 per cent in today’s session. The stock was trading flat in the territory of 22.25-22.50, however, volumes spiked towards the last one hour of the day’s session, touching the day’s high at Rs 25.10 at the close.
Ujjivan Financial Services, one of the country’s largest MFI in terms of geographical spread continued its uptrend for the second straight session gaining 9.65 per cent in today’s session. The MFI logged its 52-week low on February 24 at Rs 97.60. In today’s session, the stock logged an intraday high and low of Rs 123 and Rs 104.45 and closed at Rs 116.50.
Neuland Laboratories gained 6.53 per cent in the latter part of today’s session to close at Rs 1119. Neuland Laboratories, a leading manufacturer of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) was under selling pressure after posting a disappointing set of numbers in Q3 result. It also logged its 52-week low at Rs 1024.10 on Monday post which showed some recovery. Today, the stock logged an intraday high and low of Rs 1180.60 and Rs 1028.40, respectively.
