As market extend losses, know which stocks rallied today!

As tensions between Russia–Ukraine escalates, and crude oil prices surge further by 7 per cent, the Indian market extended losses. BSE Sensex closed at 55468.90 down 778 points or 1.4 per cent. Likewise, Nifty50 closed at 16605.95 down 188 points or 1.1 per cent.
In the broader market, BSE Midcap closed at 23316.56 while BSE Smallcap at 26631.33, both ended in the red. In sectoral indices, Metal stocks rallied 4.6 per cent, followed by Power, Energy and Oil & Gas.

Hindustan Zinc rallied 12.80 per cent in today’s session continuing its upward journey for the third straight day logging a total gain of 17.54 per cent in share price. BSE Metal index of which Hindustan Zinc Ltd is a constituent has added around 15.98 per cent in the last three sessions and is currently quoting at 21735.34, up 4.6 per cent on the day. In today’s session, the stock logged an intraday high and low of Rs 359.90 and Rs 311.50 and closed at Rs 351.70.
Coal India soared 8.89 per cent on the back of February month offtake logged at 57.4 million tons (MT), growing 12 pr cent as compared with 51.3 MT recorded in the same month last year. The company's coal production rose 3.9 per cent to 64.3 million tons (MT) in February 2022 from 61.9 MT in February 2021. Today, the stock logged an intraday high and low of Rs 185.50 and Rs 171.05, respectively and closed at Rs 184.85.
Quint Digital Media jumped 20 per cent in today’s session after the company announced its divestment of a minority stake in its digital business news venture Quintillion Business Media Pvt Ltd (QBM) to Adani Media Ventures. Today, the stock logged an intraday high and low of Rs 483.40 and Rs 462.65, respectively and closed at Rs 483.40.
