Markets today experienced a speed breaker after 5 days of winning streak. The benchmark index BSE Sensex lost as much as 887 points in the intraday trades but showed some recovery to close at 55776.85 down 709 points or 1.3 per cent. Nifty50 closed at 16663 down 208 points or 1.2 per cent.
In the broader market, all the sectors closed in weakness with the exception of Auto. Metal stocks lost their sheen, falling by 4.3 per cent after a dream rally in the last few trading sessions. BSE Midcap closed at 28021.35 while Smallcap at 26987.85, both ended in red for the day.

Linde India zoomed 10.70 per cent in today’s session to emerge as the biggest gainer in ‘ A ‘ Group. The shares of the subsidiary of Linde Group were buzzing on the bourses today, touching the day’s high at Rs 3351.30 at which it logged its fresh 52-week high. The share touched its day’s low at Rs 2943.80 while it closed at Rs 1277.90 apiece. The company engaged in the manufacturing of industrial gases and undertaking engineering projects.
Jindal Poly Films, a part of Jindal Group of Companies gained 7.82 per cent in today’s session. The company is the largest manufacturer of BOPET and BOPP films in India. In today’s session, the stock logged an intraday high and low of Rs 1220.30 and Rs 1122.05 and closed at Rs 1200.05.
Minda Corporation soared 7.81 per cent in today’s session. The stock logged an intraday high and low of Rs 203.05 and Rs 185.15, respectively and closed at Rs 198.85. Minda Corporation Ltd is one of the leading automotive component manufacturing companies in India with a pan-India presence and international footprint.
