Market Update: The bulls began the run on a positive note!

About 2,065 stocks were advancing as against to 962 that were declining, thus indicating a positive sentiment in the broader market.

Market Update at 9:35 AM: On Tuesday, Indian markets opened trading session on a positive note. Similarly, the Broader indices also witnessed a positive rally.

The Sensex is trading higher at 0.08 per cent above the 81,422 mark while the Nifty has also soared by 0.10 per placed at 24,860.21 level.

Whereas, in the broader, the Nifty Mid-cap increased by 0.34 per cent trading below the 58,562.70 level and the Nifty Small-cap rallied by 0.66 per cent.

India VIX has zoomed by 0.75 per cent, indicating an slight increase in market volatility.

Within the sectoral landscape Nifty Media and Nifty Energy was among the top gainers while Nifty Metal and Nifty IT are the major sectors which is underperformed.

Pre Market: Markets started the trading week strongly, continuing the previous session's record run on July 29, 2024, with benchmarks reaching new all-time highs, led by banking stocks following strong earnings reported over the weekend.

At close, the Sensex was up 23.12 points or 0.03 per cent at 81,355.84, and the Nifty was up 0.01 points or 1.25 per cent at 24,836.10. The Nifty50 and BSE Sensex hit fresh record highs of 24,999.75 and 81,908.43, respectively.

The GIFT Nifty is trading lower, indicating a negative start for the day. Nifty futures were trading at 24,879.

The S&P 500 closed slightly higher after Monday's choppy trading session as investors awaited big technology company earnings, a Federal Reserve policy decision on interest-rate cuts, and key US labor data, all due this week.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed down 49.41 points, or 0.12 per cent at 40,539.93 while the S&P 500 rose 4.44 points, or 0.08 per cent, to 5,463.54. The Nasdaq Composite advanced 12.32 points, or 0.07 per cent, to 17,370.20.

On July 29, foreign institutional investors (FIIs) sold equities worth Rs 2474 crore, while domestic institutional investors bought equities worth Rs 5665 crore.
