Top three stocks that saw heavy demand from buyers in the pre-opening session today
These three stocks were the top gainers on BSE in the pre-opening session today.
At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in green with a gain of 12.9 points or 0.02 per cent. By 9.15 am, the index further strengthened to 57,320.02, signifying a gain of 462.23 points or 0.81 per cent.
On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals shined by more than a per cent, power by nearly 1 per cent while auto climbed over 0.5 per cent.
Meanwhile, Dalmia Bharat Sugar & Industries, GMM Pfaudler Ltd, and Grasim Industries Ltd emerged as the top gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today.
Dalmia Bharat Sugar & Industries Ltd, an S&P BSE Smallcap company, rallied 7.65 per cent to trade at Rs 396.90 apiece. This rally comes ahead of the company’s board meeting, which is set to take place today. The agenda of this meeting is to inter-alia consider & approve the standalone and consolidated unaudited financial results for the quarter ended June 30, 2022.
GMM Pfaudler Ltd, an S&P BSE 500 company, surged 6.31 per cent to trade at Rs 1,428 apiece. The surge came on the back of robust financial performance reported by the company on Thursday after the market hours. During the quarter, the company reported revenue growth of 34 per cent YoY on the back of strong execution. The EBITDA margins stood at 13.2 per cent, 672 bps higher than the previous year.
Grasim Industries Ltd, an S&P BSE 100 company, climbed 6.20 per cent to trade at Rs 1,645.50 apiece. The company has not made any major announcements lately. Hence, the rally in its share prices could purely be driven by the market forces.
