Stocks below Rs 100: Only buyers seen in these scrips on July 18

The US markets seem to recover past week's losses post a dismal inflation data report as the stock futures are gaining in the pre-market session.

At noon on Monday, the headline equity indices, i.e. Sensex and Nifty 50 opened in the green and inched almost a per cent higher on the bourses.

During Friday's session, the US equity indices such as S&P 500 and tech-heavy Nasdaq ended higher by almost 2 per cent each.   

The shares in Asia-Pacific markets are also on the rise as Hong Kong’s Hang Seng index jumped 2.58 per cent while China’s Shanghai Composite index climbed 1.49 per cent.  

Sensex was at 54,330.98, up by 570.20 points or 1.06  per cent whereas Nifty 50 was trading at 16,220.60, up by 171.40 points or 1.07 per cent. Nifty Bank is also up by 1.12 per cent and is trading at the 35,072.75 level. 

The FIIs sold equity worth Rs 1,649.36 crore on Friday (July 15) while the DIIs bought a net of Rs 1,059.46 crore.  

The Top Gainers in Nifty 50 pack are Tech Mahindra, Infosys, Hindalco Industries, UltraTech Cement, and TCS. Meanwhile, the Top Losers pulling down the index are HDFC Bank, Britannia Industries, HDFC, BPCL, and Mahindra & Mahindra. 

BSE Smallcap index is trading at 26,107.98, up by 1.27 per cent. The top gainers in the pack were Quick Heal Technologies, BGR Energy Systems, Xchanging Solutions, PTC Industries, and Tanla Platforms. Each of these stocks has gained more than 8 per cent. Similarly, the top losers were Techno Electric & Engineering, NIIT, KBC Global, Birla Tyres, and DEN Networks.  

All the sectors are trading in the green territory today with BSE IT (up by 3.23 per cent), BSE Teck (up by 2.89 per cent), and BSE Capital Goods (up by 1.92 per cent) being the top gaining sectors.
