Acrysil starts production of additional units of quartz kitchen sinks
The expansion in production capacity is to meet the growing demand for quartz kitchen sinks in the global market.
Acrysil, the largest manufacturer of quartz kitchen sinks in Asia has announced that their capacity expansion of additional 140,000 units at their Bhavnagar plant in Gujarat has been completed. The commercial production of additional 140,000 units has commenced from October 25, 2021. The manufacturing capacity of quartz kitchen sinks has jumped from 700,000 units to 840,000 units per annum.
The expansion in production capacity is to meet the growing demand for quartz kitchen sinks in the global market. The capital expenditure involved an investment of approximately Rs 15 crore which involved investments in plant, machinery, utilities and other infrastructure. The project has been financed by a mix of internal accruals and debt.
The company had recently signed Bollywood celebrity Vaani Kapoor for a new marketing campaign of its ‘Carysil’ brand. Under the ‘Carysil’ brand, company sells lifestyle kitchen sinks and built-in appliances. The association of Vani Kapoor is expected to help the company strengthen its brand position and create a brand recall for lifestyle products among the youth. The marketing campaign will help in brand building and creating recall value for the Carysil products in the domestic market. The company is also focused on strengthening its distribution channels across India.
Acrysil Limited was incorporated in 1987 and is engaged in the manufacturing of Composite Quartz Sinks. The company started its operations with the help of technical collaboration with ‘Schock & Co.’, Germany and one of the largest manufacturers of quartz kitchen sinks in Asia.
The company is also into manufacturing stainless-steel kitchen sinks with a core focus on ‘Quadro Sinks’ and dealing into a complete range of built-in kitchen appliances under its “Carysil” brand having varieties of kitchen chimneys, dishwashers, cook-tops, built-in ovens, wine - chillers etc. They also furnish bathroom solutions like premium sanitary ware, washbasins, composite 3d tiles to name a few under its ‘Sternhagen’ brand.
Acrysil’s scrip fell by approximately 4 per cent to touch an intra-day low of Rs 660.05 per share during early market hours on Monday, October 25, 2021.
