A solid positive breakout is seen in these stocks; do you hold them?

On the first weekly expiration of 2023, the Nifty 50 opened higher following strong global trends. In this post, we have identified top stocks that have seen a solid price volume breakout.

Nifty 50 index began higher on Thursday at 18,101.95, up from its previous closing of 18,042.95. This occurred in the context of strong global trends. The leading Wall Street indices concluded in the green on Wednesday. This was owing to the positive outcome of the Fed's minutes.

 

The US Fed reiterated its commitment to controlling inflation during the FOMC meeting, although it will slow down future interest rate rises. This approach will aid in lowering the threat to economic growth.

 

In overnight trade, Nasdaq Composite gained 0.69 per cent, Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.4 per cent, and S&P 500 advanced 0.75 per cent, snapping a two-day losing streak. As China's economy rebounds from the Covid pandemic and the US dollar is under pressure, Asian market indices rose on Thursday, hitting a four-month high.

 

Nifty 50 was trading at 17,981.4, down 61.55 points or 0.34 per cent at 12:15 a.m. Broader market indices outpaced frontline indices. Nifty Mid-Cap 100 index rose 0.2 per cent, while Nifty Small-Cap 100 index fell 0.1 per cent.

 

The advance-decline ratio on the BSE was flat, with 1605 stocks rising, 1712 falling, and 162 staying unchanged. Financial services, IT, and banks lost the most, while FMCG, automobiles, and metals performed best.

 

According to January 4 statistics, FIIs were net sellers while DIIs were net purchasers. Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) sold Rs 2,620.89 crore worth of shares. Domestic Institutional Investors (DIIs) invested Rs 773.58 crore in shares.
