A powerful positive breakout is seen in these stocks; do you hold them?

Nifty 50 started higher on the back of strong global signals. In this post, we have identified top stocks that are experiencing a powerful positive breakout.

On Tuesday, the Nifty 50 began higher at 17,060.4, up from its previous closing of 16,988.4. This was due to strong global signals. On Monday, leading Wall Street indices concluded higher on prospects of banking sector stability after authorities approved a deal for Swiss banking behemoth UBS to acquire rival Credit Suisse. In addition, major American banks are exploring equity investments to help First Republic Bank.

 

In overnight trade, Nasdaq Composite rose 0.39 per cent, Dow Jones Industrial Average soared 1.2 per cent, and S&P 500 increased 0.89 per cent. At the time of writing, their respective futures were likewise trading in the green. Except for Japan's Nikkei 225 index, Asian market indices largely moved higher on Tuesday, tracking overnight signals from Wall Street.

 

Nifty 50 is trading at 17,067.5 at 10:50 a.m., up 79.1 points or 0.47 per cent. Frontline indices, on the other hand, performed mixed against broader market indices. Nifty Mid-Cap 100 index rose 0.37 per cent and Nifty Small-Cap 100 index climbed 0.81 per cent.

 

The advance-decline ratio on the BSE was favourable, with 2047 stocks rising, 1082 falling, and 143 staying unchanged. Except for FMCG, and IT, all other sectors are trading flat to positive.

 

FIIs were net sellers, while DIIs were net purchasers, according to statistics as of March 20. Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) sold Rs 2,545.87 crore worth of shares. Domestic Institutional Investors (DIIs) invested Rs 2,876.64 crore in shares.
