Buzzing mid-cap & small-cap stocks on Monday

On Monday, while the domestic benchmark indices remained volatile, fluctuating between red and green, the broader markets outperformed. BSE Small-Cap index was up by 1.41 per cent while BSE Mid-Cap index rose by 1.22 per cent. Meanwhile, Sensex was trading flat with a negative bias, down by 10 points or 0.02 per cent at 43,874.11 levels.

In broader markets, the shares of various NBFCs gained after the internal working group of RBI suggested that large NBFCs such as those well run with an asset size of around Rs 50,000 crore and above, including those which are owned by a corporate house can be converted into banks subject to the completion of 10 years of operations and accordingly meeting due diligence criteria and compliance with the specified additional conditions.

The companies belonging to Future Group were buzzing on Monday after Competition Commission India (CCI) approved Future Group-Reliance Retail deal.

Moreover, the shares of Laxmi Vilas Bank have been declining day by day soon after RBI placed it under a one-month moratorium and superseded its board.

Mphasis declined after the market rumours surfaced that Blackstone is weighing an exit from Mphasis in which it had acquired a majority stake from Hewlett Packard Enterprise back in 2016.
