Your small-cap buzzers for Thursday
The domestic benchmark indices are in the positive territory on Thursday as well. Sensex is up by more than 500 points or 1.29 per cent at 40,392.30 level while Nifty gained by 140.10 points or 1.19 per cent at 11,878.95 levels.
While IT and Tech stocks are trending, BSE Small-Cap index is up by 0.52 per cent in the positive territory, as against its previous closing in the red.
Morepen Laboratories became the top gainer on BSE Small-Cap index, surging by nearly 14 per cent after the company announced that its board of directors’ meeting would be held on October 10, 2020, to consider and approve fundraising proposals.
Whereas, the stocks of Future Group companies saw a sharp decline after Amazon, which had last year, agreed to purchase around 49 per cent of one of Future Group's unlisted firms along with, the right to buy into Future Retail after a period of 3-10 years, said that Future Group violated a contract by entering into a USD 3.4 billion sale agreement with RIL. Meanwhile, FLFL fell by 5.82 per cent, FSC was down by 5.67 per cent, Future Consumer declined by 4.44 per cent and FEL locked at its lower circuit of 5 per cent.
Currently, the list of BSE Small-Cap index gainers included Mindtree, which was up by 10 per cent, GTPL Hathway up by 10.08 per cent, Vikas WSP up by 9.82 per cent, Aarti Drugs jumped 7.49 per cent, Globus Spirits up by 7.41 per cent, Solara Active Pharma Sciences gained by 6.74 per cent, etc.
BSE Small-Cap volume toppers included Persistent Systems, Aarti Drugs, Laurus Labs, Mindtree, Adani Green Energy, etc.
