Yes Bank features in 'Top Underperforming Bank list yet again!

Investors' first priority is usually banks when it comes to investing their hard-earned money. As per the common perception, banks are highly profitable businesses and private banks are considered even better for that purpose. Nevertheless, banks do make good money for themselves and for their shareholders in the long run; however, some of the prominent private banks have underperformed markets in 2021, so far. Yes Bank, which is considered investors’ favourites, has topped the list of underperforming banks this year after a dismal performance in the past three years.
Yes bank is down by more than 25 per cent, followed by Bandhan Bank, which is down by 23 per cent while Kotak Mahindra Bank has slipped by 9.35 per cent in 2021, so far. Another bank that features in the list of underperforming stocks is RBL Bank, which has weakened by 7.3 per cent.
