Wonderla shuts Kochi Park temporarily on Coronavirus breakout
Wonderla Holidays Limited, India’s leading amusement park operator has informed the bourses about the temporary closure of its Kochi Park.
The company has taken this step considering the emerging situation in the state of Kerala, consequent to the reported Coronavirus cases.
The Kochi Park will be temporary closed from March 11 to March 20.
The company had launched Kochi Park in 2000 by the name ‘Veegaland’ and was operating under the name ‘Wonderla’ since April 2008. The park is situated on 93.17 acres of land.
The company derives around 28 per cent revenue from this park as of 9MFY20. Revenue from this park has grown by 18 per cent on YoY basis and the number of visitors has also jumped by 14 per cent on YoY basis during 9MFY20 period.
In today’s trading session, the stock price of Wonderla Holidays declined by five per cent and touched an intraday low of Rs 190.85 on BSE.
