Wipro and IBM join forces to help clients expedite their cloud journeys

With an aim to provide Wipro customers with a smooth and secure hybrid cloud journey, Wipro Limited and IBM have joined forces. As part of this partnership, Wipro will develop hybrid cloud offerings to help businesses migrate, manage and transform mission-critical workloads and applications, with security across public or private cloud and on-premises IT environments.

Wipro IBM Novus Lounge is a devoted centre for novelty. It is situated at Wipro's campus in Kodathi, Bengaluru and will offer a complete collection of solutions leveraging various capabilities such as cloud, machine learning, artificial intelligence and Internet of things to nurture innovation for developers, enterprises and start-ups. Customers will have faraway access to IBM and Red Hat solutions, intended to help them scale their technology investments for enhanced experience and business agility with connected insights. Moreover, IBM Cloud offerings and technologies will assist Wipro in developing industry solutions for clients in retail, energy and utilities, banking and financial services, healthcare and manufacturing space.

The Wipro and IBM Global partnership has existed for over 20 years with a formal alliance of more than 13 years. The company has confidence that associating with IBM institutes economies of scale, market penetration, knowledge sharing and a capacity to realize growth potential more quickly for Wipro.

Wipro has diversified its revenue stream. As of Q4FY20, various components of its revenue include - 

1. Digital operations and platforms (14 per cent)

2. Cloud and infrastructure services (26 per cent)

3. Data analytics and AI (7 per cent)

4. Modern application services (45 per cent)

5. Industrial and engineering services (8 per cent)

The stock closed at 226.05, up by 3.31 per cent or Rs 7.25 per share. The intraday high is Rs 227.10 and intraday low is Rs 215.85.
