Tata Communications has been chosen as the official Digital Transformation Partner by ROKiT Williams Racing. It will use Tata Communication’s digital infrastructure to enable real-time data transfer between the pit-lane garage at each Grand Prix and the team’s race factory in the UK.

This infrastructure includes a superfast subsea fibre network carrying around 30 per cent of the world’s Internet routes. By utilising Tata Communications’ digital capabilities, it will be able to share vital data and insights and collaborate on race strategy in the same place even if ROKiT Williams Racing’s engineers are thousands of miles apart.

Tata Communications plays a central role in all areas of F1 and since 2012 it has been growing consistently. The management is aiming to fully utilise its digital transformation potential in live sports. It has also been collaborating with other sports such as football, sailing and cricket enabling sports fans to engage with their heroes in new ways and expand in new markets.

Williams Grand Prix Holdings PLC is the holding company of the Williams group of companies which includes Williams Grand Prix Engineering Limited. It generates revenues from its long-standing Formula One business and its more recently developed Advanced Engineering operation.

The stock of Tata Communications has surged by ~29 per cent in the last one month. In the past one year, it has been trading at a consolidated level making a 52-week high of Rs. 670.90 and 52-week low of Rs. 435.95 per share.
