Watch out for these penny stocks locked in the upper circuit on March 30

The benchmark indices opened with a huge gain as bulls favoured across sectoral indices with banking, healthcare, auto, consumer durables, IT, and realty stocks outperforming.

Both the benchmarks indices continued to trade near the day's high level as investors broadly cheered the ongoing developments between Russia-Ukraine peace talks along with oil prices falling below $107 per barrel.  

 

BSE Metal and auto stocks will be in focus as companies are set to present their monthly production as well as sales data in the first week of April 2021. The buyers largely outnumbered sellers to show positivity in the market. On BSE, 2,322 shares rose while 926 shares fell. The FII sold shares worth Rs 35.47 crore and the DII bought shares worth Rs 1,713.31 crore on March 29.  

 

Following good global cues, BSE Sensex surged 656 points and is trading at the level of 58,600.63. Also, BSE MidCap advanced by 191 points and is trading at 24,043.88 levels. Similarly, BSE SmallCap index has scaled 378 points and trades at the level of 28,206.06. The gaining stocks on BSE Sensex are Bajaj Finserv (3.30 per cent), Bajaj Finance (3.00 per cent), Axis Bank (2.94 per cent), Reliance Industries (2.19 per cent), and Maruti Suzuki (2.09 per cent).    

 

Nifty 50 index shot up by 174 points and is trading at 17,500.00 levels. Also, Bank Nifty climbed sharply by 458 points and trades at 36,306.20 levels. The major contributors to Nifty 50 are Tata Consumer Products (3.04 per cent), Bajaj Finserv (3.18 per cent), Hero MotoCorp (2.95 per cent), Axis Bank (2.68 Per cent), and Bajaj Finance (2.77 Per cent).
