Watch out for these penny stocks locked in the upper circuit on July 6

At 11.34 am, Sensex surged 259 points and was seen trading at 53,394.

Despite weak global indications, the Indian markets are trading in the green, driven by widespread purchasing. High selling pressure was observed in the metals sector. Today, the index declined by more than 2 per cent. However, the market was driven higher by the auto, FMCG, and bankex sectors. In today's trading session, the shares of CE Info Systems (MapmyIndia) increased by 5 per cent.

 

At 11.34 am, Sensex surged 259 points and was seen trading at 53,394. The Midcap index too has risen by 145 points and trades at 22,104 levels. Similarly, the Small-Cap index has gained by a small margin of 56 points and trades at 25,060 levels. In terms of sectoral indices, all the sectors are in green with major gains seen in auto, finance, bankex, and FMCG.  

  

Nifty 50 index is also trading on the higher side with an increase of 52 points at 15,863 levels. Bank Nifty has surged 264 points and trades at a level of 34,080. The Top Gainers are Britannia, Bajaj Finance, Hero MotoCorp, Hindustan Unilever, and Eicher Motors. On the other hand, the Top Losers include ONGC, Hindalco Industries, Power Grid Corporation of India, NTPC, and Tata Steel.   

              

Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) sold shares worth Rs 1,295.84 crore on July 5 while domestic institutional investors (DIIs) bought shares worth Rs 257.59 crore.
