Watch out for these penny stocks locked in the upper circuit on July 20

Nifty index continued the upward journey by climbing 213 points at 16,554 levels.

The FIIs witnessed buying in the last two days. The shares of HUL rose one per cent as its profit jumped 11 per cent. The dollar index in the last three days has fallen to 106.38, as of today. As the company said that it would raise money, the shares of AU Small Finance Bank increased by more than 1.32 per cent today. Also, the shares of CARE Ratings shoot up by over 2.5 per cent today as it declared that it is going to buy back shares. Oil exports via SEZ are exempted from excise taxes, which is advantageous for Reliance and other oil companies. The shares of Grasim Industries rose almost a per cent after announcing the launch of the B2B eCommerce platform. The shares of Vedanta, Paradeep Phosphates, and Ramco Systems zoomed 5 per cent, 4 per cent & 13 per cent respectively.  

  

The benchmark indices traded with major gains in the early trade amid strong global cues. All the sectoral indices on NSE are trading in the green. At 10.50 am, the barometer index, S&P BSE Sensex, was up by 712 points to the 55,480 level. In the broader market, the S&P BSE Midcap index rose 194 points while the S&P BSE Smallcap index added 257 points to trade at 23,550 & 26,627 levels, respectively.  

   

Nifty traded above the 16,500 mark. Nifty index continued the upward journey by climbing 213 points at 16,554 levels. Bank Nifty also zoomed 427 points to trade at 36,148 levels. The top gaining stocks are ONGC (5.08 per cent), Reliance Industries (2.68 per cent), Induslnd Bank (2.68 per cent), Tech Mahindra (2.52 per cent), and Tata Motors (2.39 per cent).  

  

Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) bought shares worth Rs 976.40 crore on July 19 while domestic institutional investors (DIIs) sold shares worth Rs 100.73 crore.
