Watch out for these penny stocks locked in the upper circuit on July 12

Suryoday Small Finance Bank advanced 3.73 per cent after the bank's gross advances increased by 28 per cent YoY to Rs 5,136 crore in Q1 FY23.

The domestic equity indices witnessed losses in the opening trade. When the trading began, the metal, auto & FMCG stocks fell whereas the shares of power, oil & gas, and healthcare rose.

BSE Sensex fell, following the global cues by 212 points, and is at a level of 54,182 at 11.17 am. On the other hand, BSE Midcap index gained 35 points and is currently trading at 22,833 levels. Likewise, BSE Smallcap rose slightly by 48 points and trades at 25,964 levels. Sensex Top Gainers include NTPC (1.77 per cent), Bharti Airtel (0.67 per cent), Wipro (0.33 per cent), Axis Bank (0.28 per cent), and Reliance Industries (0.29 per cent).   

Nifty index too dropped 74 points and trades at 16,141 levels. Bank Nifty saw a downside of 143 points to trade at 35,326 levels. The top gaining indices on Nifty are IT, PSU banks, and oil & gas. On the contrary, metal slipped 1.22 per cent while FMCG tumbled marginally by 0.84 per cent.  

Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) sold shares worth Rs 170.51 crore on July 11 while the domestic institutional investors (DIIs) too sold shares worth Rs 296.99 crore.
