On Wednesday, the Indian indices closed on the upper side. BSE Sensex closed at 61,150.84 levels soaring by 533 points. On the BSE Sensex index the stocks of GHCL, Sequent Scientific, Hindustan Foods, Venky's (India), Mastek, gained more than 10%. BSE Midcap closed at 25,929.36 up just by 277 points, also the BSE Smallcap closed similarly up by 212 points at 30,646.24 levels.
The Nifty 50 index climbed up by 156 points and closed on levels of 18,212.35. The stock of Mahindra & Mahindra (4.6 per cent), Bharti Airtel (4 per cent), Induslnd Bank (2.75 per cent), Reliance (2.63 per cent), and ONGC (2.52 per cent) were the top gainers. Whereas, the stocks of Titan, Shree Cement, TCS, Britannia, and Cipla were the top losers, losing more than 1 per cent.
MCX Gold futures for February 4, 2022, settlement was trading flat at Rs 47,848. The dollar rate was at Rs 74.050. Today the FII net inflow was recorded at Rs 111.91 crore and DII Rs 378.74 crore. The price of crude oil when the market closed was USD 80.96.
