Watch out for these penny stocks locked in the upper circuit on February 13

On BSE today, about 1,255 shares have advanced, 2,198 declined and 172 are unchanged. 

At 12:25 pm on Monday, the benchmark indices were trading lower with Sensex down 425.48 points or 0.70 per cent at a level of 60,256.79 and the Nifty trading down 134.20 points or 0.75 per cent at a level of 17,726.70. 

The top Sensex gainers were Titan Company Ltd, NTPC Ltd and Larsen & Toubro Ltd whereas the top Sensex losers were Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd, Infosys Ltd and State Bank of India. 

The indices in the broader markets were trading lower with the BSE Mid-Cap index down 1.06 per cent and the BSE Small-Cap index down 0.99 per cent, respectively. On BSE today, about 1,255 shares have advanced, 2,198 declined and 172 are unchanged. 

Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Governor Shaktikanta Das said, “The forward markets are giving a much more benign picture with regards to the oil prices but we have been very conservative in our assessment,” Das also said, “So if the oil prices go down significantly and if there is an advantage of other commodity prices, it will work to our favour in terms of leading to lower inflation.”
