At 10:55 IST, the barometer index, the S&P BSE Sensex is currently trading in red at 60,216 levels with fall of 609 points, while the S&P BSE Mid-Cap has plunged by 515 points and trades at 24,769 levels. The Small-Cap index too, has dropped by 762 points and trades at 27,646.
The Nifty 50 index witnessed a significant fall of 183 points and is trading at 17,943 levels. Similarly, the Bank Nifty plunged by 473 points and is now trading at a level of 41,935.
On December 22, both the foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) and also the domestic institutional investors (DIIs) were the net buyers of shares worth 928.63 crore and 2,206.59 crore respectively.
