At 11:24 am, the barometer index, the S&P BSE Sensex dropped by 389 points to a level of 62,894 level. In the broader market, S&P BSE Mid-Cap on the flip side jumped by 131 points and is at a level of 26,243. Similarly, the Small-Cap index surged by 146 points and traded at 29,850 levels.
The Nifty 50 index is currently trading at the 18,693 level after declining 119 points and falling into negative territory. The Bank Nifty dropped 188 points as well, closing at 43,072 levels. The two most actively traded equities on the Nifty50 index today were Tata Steel and ONGC.
On December 01, foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) turned out to be the net sellers of shares worth Rs 1,565.93 crore and the domestic institutional investors (DIIs) turned out to be net buyers of shares worth Rs 2,664.98 crore.
