At 09:30 AM, The Sensex and Nifty have both registered an uptick of 0.16 per cent each in their trading.

During this period, Nifty Mid-Cap experienced a notable surge of 0.15 per cent, while Nifty Small-Cap saw a more substantial rise of 0.5 per cent.

India VIX has recorded a notable increase of 6.72 per cent.

Among the leading gainers, Nifty Realty, Nifty IT, and Nifty Auto stand out, whereas Nifty PSU Bank and Nifty FMCG are positioned among the primary decliners.

Prominent gainers on the Nifty 50 include M&M, Grasim, and Hindalco, while Britannia, Cipla, and ITC are notable losers.

In the broader market sentiment, approximately 1271 stocks are in the advancing category in contrast to 599 stocks that are witnessing declines, underscoring a positive overall sentiment.

On August 4, foreign institutional investors (FII) offloaded shares worth Rs 556.32 crore, while domestic institutional investors (DII) bought shares worth Rs 366.61 crore.
