Despite this, the overall market showed positive breadth with 1,857 shares increasing whereas, 1,237 shares decreasing on the BSE and 142 shares remained unchanged.
As of 11:00 am, the BSE Sensex is trading at 60,218 levels, plunging by 174 points, while the S&P BSE Mid-Cap index has gained by mere 15 points at a level of 24,695 points. The Small-Cap index has surged by 43 points and is currently trading at a level of 28,099 points. The NSE index NIFTY50 also dipped by 47 points to 17,764 levels but the Bank Nifty surged by 92 points and is currently trading at a level of 41,650.
On April 13, the foreign portfolio investors bought securities worth of Rs 1,907.95 crore and the domestic institutional investors (DIIs) were the net sellers of shares worth Rs 225.22 crore.
