On Wednesday, Indian equity markets closed in the red territory with losses on account of weak global cues. Nifty 50 slipped 0.55 per cent to close at 17,718.3. Mid-Cap and Small-Cap stocks underperformed broader markets today. 

The following low-priced stocks are likely to be in focus on Thursday, September 22, 2022:  

AiroLam – The counter saw a solid price volume break out during the first half of the trading session. The scrip locked at 20 per cent upper circuit, recording a fresh 52-week high of Rs 106.25 per share on NSE. It has gained 46.25 per cent over the last five trading sessions. The company is engaged in manufacturing high-quality decorative laminates for residential and commercial applications, following rigid international quality standards. 

VIP Clothing – Only buyers were seen in this counter today as the scrip hit a 10 per cent upper price band of Rs 40.15 per share on NSE. The stock registered a fresh 52-week high and has soared more than 28 per cent in just five trading sessions. The company is engaged in the business of manufacturing, marketing as well as distributing men's & women's innerwear and socks under the brand name VIP, Frenchie, Feelings, Leader, and Eminence. 

Central Bank of India – Heavy buying was seen in this counter today and the scrip rallied more than 8 per cent to record an intraday high of Rs 23.40 per share on NSE. Reserve Bank of India recently lifted the regulatory curbs from Central Bank of India. The apex bank said that the lender has also provided a written commitment that it would comply with norms on an ongoing basis.
