Vedanta declares 2nd interim dividend of Rs. 1.85
Vedanta Limited announced a second interim dividend of Rs. 1.85 per equity share for the financial year 2018-2019. The total dividend payout will amount to Rs. 685 crore.
The decision was made on March 6, 2019 in a meeting with the Board of Directors of the company.
The record date for the purpose of payment of dividend is March 14, 2019. The total dividend payout will amount to Rs. 685 crore.
Considering this interim dividend, the total dividend for the year stands at Rs. 18.85 per equity share, which represents a total dividend yield of nearly 8 per cent on the average share price of the company for the last one year.
Vedanta Ltd. is a diversified natural resources company. It is engaged in the business of oil & gas, zinc, lead, silver, copper, iron ore, aluminium and commercial power. The company is the Indian subsidiary of Vedanta Resources Plc.
On Thursday, the shares of Vedanta opened at Rs. 178.20, and hit a high and low of Rs. 178.90 and Rs. 172.75, respectively. At 10:26 am, the stock was trading at Rs. 175.05 per share, down 1.91 per cent.
