Vanguard Bought Anil Ambani-Led Reliance Group Stock Under Rs 250; FIIs and DIIs Increased Stake in Q1 FY25!

Reliance Infrastructure Ltd is one of the largest infrastructure companies engaged in developing infrastructure projects through various Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs) in several sectors, such as power, roads, metro rail, airports, and the defence sector. The company is also a leading utility company with a presence across the value chain of power businesses, including generation, transmission, distribution, and power trading.

At the start of the day's trading session, shares of Reliance Infrastructure Ltd opened at Rs 209.60 per share, compared to the previous day's closing figure of Rs 214.20 per share on the BSE. Finally, the shares closed at Rs 214.65 per share. The company's current market capitalization stands at Rs 8502.96 crore, and the stock has generated a return of over 170 per cent in the past 3 years.

In Q1 FY25, the Vanguard Total International Stock Index Fund and the Vanguard Emerging Markets Stock Index Fund, A Series, each purchased a stake of 1.15% and 1.09%, respectively, in Reliance Infrastructure Ltd.

As per the Quarterly Results, in Q4 FY24, Reliance Infrastructure Ltd recorded a revenue of Rs 4686 crore. The operating profit for Q4 FY24 stood at Rs 317 crore. The net loss for Q4 FY24 was Rs 98 crore compared to a loss of Rs 2484 crore. Looking at the annual performance, the company generated a revenue of Rs 22805 crore in FY24, compared to Rs 22398 crore in FY23. The operating profit for FY24 was Rs 2151 crore with a net loss of Rs 1148 crore compared to a loss of Rs 2564 crore.

According to the shareholding pattern of Reliance Infrastructure Ltd, promoters own a 16.50 per cent stake, while public investors hold 68.75 per cent. FIIs and DIIs have increased their stake in the company in Q1 FY25.
