Trending stock: Titan Company makes new 52-week high
Even as Sensex and Nifty are trading flat today, the stock of Titan Company jumped 0.80 per cent during Monday’s trading session, making a fresh 52-week high of Rs 1,375.85 per share.
The company has witnessed good improvement across all its businesses in the festive season. Its jewellery business witnessed a 15 per cent rise compared to the same period last year. Its watches, wearable & eyewear business also did quite well in the festive season.
The stock of Titan Company has recovered by 90.85 per cent from its sharp decline of March 2020.
The company reported a net profit of Rs 175 crore in Q2FY21, which declined by 42.2 per cent, as compared to Q2FY20 when it had reported a profit of Rs 302.79 crore. The company reported net sales of Rs 4,553 crore for Q2FY21, a decrease of 2.33 per cent, as against the net sales of Rs 4,661.59 crore for Q2FY20.
The stock has a 52-week high and a 52-week low of Rs 1,375.85 per share and Rs 720 per share, respectively. According to BSE data, the stock traded at a P/E multiple of 160.34 and a price-to-book ratio of 18.47.
At 12.55 pm today, the share of Titan Company was trading at Rs 1,337.75 per share on BSE, down by 1.99 per cent.
