Transformers & Rectifiers posts sharp jump in net profit

Transformers and Rectifiers reported strong results for the quarter with more than 6 times jump in the company's bottom-line.

The revenue for the quarter rose by 20.6 per cent to Rs. 245 crore in Q4FY18 vs Rs. 203 crore in Q4FY17 and Rs. 161 crore in Q3FY18.

The EBITDA for the quarter rose by 10.5 per cent to Rs. 21 crore in Q4FY18 and Rs. 19 crore in Q4FY17 and Rs. 10 crore in Q3FY18 a 122 per cent qoq increase. The EBITDA margin declined marginally by 80 bps to 8.6 per cent in Q4FY18 vs Rs. 9.4 per cent in Q4FY17.

The net profit for the quarter jumped substantially to Rs. 89 crore from Rs. 12 crore in Q4FY17

For the full year, the revenue grew by declined by 20.3 per cent yoy and net profit for the quarter also declined by 79 per cent yoy.

The stock closed green on the bourses to Rs. 25 per share up by 0.20 per cent.
