At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in green with a gain of 103.96 points or 0.13 per cent. By 9.15 am, the index stood at 79,798.68 signifying a loss of 145.5 points or 0.18 per cent over its previous closing.

On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals jumped by 0.36 per cent, power zoomed by 0.38 and auto soared by 0.34 per cent.
Meanwhile, Vesuvius India Ltd, Century Plyboards (I) Ltd and NRB Bearings Ltd emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today.
