Top three stocks that saw heavy demand from buyers in the pre-opening session today
These three stocks were the top gainers on BSE in the pre-opening session today.
At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in red with a loss of 257.35 points or 0.32 per cent. By 9.17 am, the index stood at 80,755.27 signifying a loss of 251.34 points or 0.31 per cent over its previous closing.
On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals jumped by 0.03 per cent, power zoomed by 0.09 and auto slipped by 0.25 per cent.

Meanwhile, Godrej Industries Ltd, Maharashtra Scooters Ltd and Westlife Foodworld Ltd emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today.
Godrej Industries Ltd, an S&P BSE company, surged 5.21 per cent to trade at 1,089 apiece. The company has not made any significant announcements of late. Hence, the rally in the share price could be driven purely by the market forces.
Maharashtra Scooters Ltd rallied 4.70 per cent to trade at Rs 11,600 apiece. The company has informed the shareholders about the special call-auction mechanism for price discovery scheduled to be held on 28 October 2024.
Westlife Foodworld Ltd, an S&P BSE company, climbed 3.82 per cent to trade at Rs 900 apiece. The company has not made any significant announcements of late. Hence, the rally in the share price could be driven purely by the market forces.
