At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in green with a gain of 406.56 points or 0.50 per cent. By 9.15 am, the index stood at 81,862.55 signifying a gain of 339.39 points or 0.42 per cent over its previous closing.
On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals Jumped by 1.24 per cent, power zoomed by 1.02 and auto soared by 0.42 per cent.

Meanwhile, Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Ltd, NRB Bearings Ltd and Texmaco Rail & Engineering Ltd emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today.
